Meetup: VR Workshops with Daniel Regan and Antonia Attwood, December 2017
Updated: May 9, 2018
Daniel Regan and Antonia Attwood have been running workshops in conjunction with their project Be Here, Now that explores the concept of safe and soothing spaces in a fast paced world. The emphasis is exploring how VR environments may be beneficial to those who with any medical or mental health issues, and are unable to visit spaces themselves.
The first workshop took place in Hampstead woods, where we were encouraged to experiment taking 360° photos in locations we thought may be interesting or calming. The process and equipment were new to all of us and interestingly, the group was made up of a wide variety of people curious about the medium of 360° and VR. The second workshop consisted of importing the photos, adjusting levels in Photoshop and then experiencing the environments using the VR Gear headset.
