Process: 360° Equipment and Method for Photos
Updated: May 9, 2018
The process to create 360° photos was relatively quick and painless. The Ricoh Theta S was the first camera tested producing HD photos. Once paired with my Samsung S7 using the app, all camera controls are done through the mobile including live preview. The photos are then uploaded to the laptop and then transferred to the phone to be viewed in a Samsung VR Gear headset. Although there are several pieces of hardware, the camera is entry level consumer product, the phone is not the most current models and the laptop needs no processing power as it's function is largely as a transfer device.
